Batch 79 welcomes help and contributions from other batches ...

Continuous growth of the Endowment Fund
 

Beyond the seed fund provided as gift by Batch ‘79, private benefactors will be sought to make additional donations to the fund.

 

Additional donations will remain entrusted with the PSHS Foundation, but full accounting will be made available by the Foundation to the Trustees whenever needed, at reasonable intervals of not less than 6 months, and given sufficient lead time of at least one month.

 

The Trustees shall also be responsible for making inquiries as to the amount of proceeds available from the Fund. It shall likewise be their responsibility to solicit for additional donations to the Fund.

Trustees to Manage the Endowment Fund

 

Trustees of the Fund will be selected by Batch ’79, in coordination with the PSHS System.  They will be entrusted with the care and responsibility of selecting the activities and projects to be funded by the proceeds from the Endowment Fund. They will likewise be responsible in informing the students of all PSHS campuses of the availability of the Fund, and of the mechanics for availing of the fund.

 

There will be five (5) trustees, three of whom will be designated representatives of Batch ’79, while the other two will be chosen by the incumbent group of trustees. The trustees shall serve for a term of 3 years, renewable for a maximum of 2 terms.

 

For the launch of the project, all five trustees will be chosenby Batch 79, in consultation with various stakeholders of the project, such as leaders of the different campuses, parent-teacher associations, PSHS Foundation, and the alumni.

 

At least one month prior to officially naming the Trustees, the names to be endorsed by Batch ’79 will be short-listed by the local project committee based in Manila and will be posted for comments on the PSHS'79 Facebook and Yahoo groups, or other officially designated virtual networks of the batch in the future.

 

Trustees must be familiar with the ideals of PSHS. As such, they must be alumni of PSHS, a parent of a PSHS student or alumnus, or has been employed at any of the campuses of the PSHS System. Current employees of any PSHS System campus may not be a Trustee.

 

Trustees shall not receive any form of compensation as Trustees of the Fund, nor can they charge to the Fund any of their expenses as a Trustee. Student projects with a child of any of the trustees as one of the lead proponents, may not receive any financial support from the Fund.
