The Servant Leadership Endowment Fund supports various student-led projects, activities, and programs aimed at promoting servant leadership among students of any of the campuses of the PSHS System.

The Endowment is in honor of Dra. Cleofe M. Bacungan, Ph.D., whose service to Philippine Science High School is an inspiring story of commitment and dedication, and above all, of servant leadership.

Other Batch 1979 Projects:

Outdoor basketball court

Our batch fixed the outdoor basketball court in 2004, and has committed to continue to maintain it. We have allotted funds for the general upkeep of the court surface and the goal posts ...

Various repairs and donations to the schools

Every now and then, our batch provides funds to buy such items as printers for the dormitories and LCD equipment for the classroom. We are currently setting aside batch funds to repair and refurbish a math classroom - including airconditiong, LCD equipment, and whiteboard.

Tree Planting at the Parks and Widelife

In coordination with the authorities at the Parks and Wildlife, batchmates Sheila Gorosin and Paul Cuadra organized a tree planting activity last September 6 - the same day as the grand alumni homecoming.

The batch, together with family and friends, planted colorful indigenous trees that would eventually grow tall enough to be seen from the PSHS campus.
The Parks and Wildlife was a common "over-the-bakod" destination for PSHS students in the 70's.

The path and patch of trees will be planted in memory of batchmates who have gone ahead, namely Gilbert Fabic, Raul Miranda, Melchor Francisco, Celso Ani, and Mark John Vergara.
